Carte Blanche est un rendez-vous du Pavillon Gacet qui confie son espace d’exposition à un artiste ou à un commissaire invité. Pendant trois mois, celui-ci dispose d’une entière liberté pour imaginer une exposition, inviter d’autres créateurs et proposer une lecture personnelle du lieu.
Chaque édition devient un projet à part entière, construit à partir d’un regard, d’une sélection d’œuvres et d’une manière singulière d’investir l’espace. La programmation peut ainsi prendre la forme d’une exposition personnelle ou collective et réunir différentes générations, pratiques et disciplines artistiques.
Avec Carte Blanche, le Pavillon Gacet souhaite laisser une véritable place à l’expérimentation et faire émerger des propositions qui ne pourraient exister ailleurs sous la même forme. Le lieu devient un espace de création ouvert, transformé à chaque nouvelle invitation par l’univers et les choix de l’artiste ou du commissaire invité.

Carte Blanche is a recurring programme at Pavillon Gacet that entrusts its exhibition space to an invited artist or curator. For three months, they are given complete freedom to imagine an exhibition, invite other artists and offer their own interpretation of the space.
Each edition becomes a project in its own right, shaped by a particular vision, a selection of works and a unique way of inhabiting the space. The programme may take the form of a solo or group exhibition, bringing together different generations, practices and artistic disciplines.
Through Carte Blanche, Pavillon Gacet aims to provide genuine space for experimentation and encourage projects that could not exist elsewhere in the same form. The venue becomes an open space for creation, transformed with each new invitation by the vision and choices of the invited artist or curator.
